It’s been a while since I posted the last edition of the Creative Weekender, so here we go. As you know, reading is fundamental, not only to a healthy mind, but to a healthy creative lifestyle.
Here’s three reads I think you will like and get started on this weekend:
Good history is always worth your time. Learning from the past is an excellent way to spark your daily life. Check out On Desperate Ground: The Marines At the Reservoir, the Korean War’s Greatest Battle by Hampton Sides. Brace yourself for this one. Read it, absorb it. Learn from it.
Next, I suggest a few lessons in creativity by reading The Wealthy Creative by Genevieve Parker Hill. A collection of 24 stories to motivate and teach us creatives about earning from our craft.
Finally, the classics are perfect for that weekend escape. Why not read a Tale of Two Cities by Dickens. Need I say more?
Sit back, pick up a good book and get creative my friends. Have a great weekend!
