Whether you’re a professional, full-time creative, or a professional, side-hustle creative, or you just want to be more creative we all could use some inspiration.
So I’m introducing a new series of posts called, “The Creative Weekender.” Let’s face it, many of us do lots of creating during the weekends. We’re creative weekend warriors.
Each Friday I’ll share some things I find inspiring, creative, interesting or simply cool. After all, it’s a creative life, right?
I’ve written before about the benefits of reading. After all, reading is fundamental. There are a ton of books out there that spark creativity in different ways. One of my favorites you can start reading this weekend is a science fiction classic by Joe Haldeman.
If reading isn’t your thing, or if you simply want a break from reading, check out some awesome photography from some amazing photographers on Netflix’s Tales By Light.
Believe it or not, what we eat helps our creativity. There’s much inspiration in good, healthy recipes. At least that’s what I think. Not to mention, who doesn’t like to eat? The weekend is great for trying new recipes that get your creative juices flowing. A few months ago I discovered the Minimalist Baker and their plethora (I’ve wanted to use that in a post for a long time) of great, healthy recipes.
I’m a lover of granola bars for a number of reasons but the boxed stuff isn’t the best for us obviously. So I found this recipe for a simple granola bar recipe. I make these regularly on Sundays and one batch lasts me a few days.
To my fellow male creatives, we need to think about our health. I’m a lover of all things red meat, but let’s face it, we need to up our game. Don’t be afraid to try something different and vegan.
Finally, what better way to find creative inspiration on the weekend than to look at some awesome art. Head over here for some amazing art to get you ready and motivated to create.
Thank you for reading and if you enjoyed this post share it with a friend, or buy a print. Stay creative and have a great weekend!
