It’s the weekend once again, thankfully. There are many things you can do on the weekend, but if you’re not practicing your craft, you’re missing out.
Of course, sometimes we all need a little motivation so for this edition of my Creative Weekender series, here are few things I think will give you inspiration.
A Little ’80s Hits For the Weekend
I came of age in the 1990s, but without the glorious ’80s…need I say more? Life wouldn’t be complete without the underdog, or at least that kid with a really big headband. Thank you, Ralph Macchio .
Art For Your Weekend
As you know, I’m all about the mandala art and mixing nature into my work. Virtually everything I do is inspired by nature. But there are others taking mandala art to a whole new level.
A Book You Can Start This Weekend
I’m all about the reading and especially history. The lessons of the past are more relevant today than most of us realize. This week, let’s stick with the idea of courage. World War II provides us with many stories of heroism, sacrifice, and basic human courage.
If you haven’t read Flyboys: A True Story of Courage by James D. Bradley, I highly recommend it. You can start it this weekend! If nothing else, you will learn a piece of history that will give you perspective on your daily life.
A Courageous Challenge
Let’s finish out the week with a little challenge for the weekend. Ask yourself who in your life has shown true courage. Now write about it. You don’t have to share it with them or anyone, but feel free to.
Think about what they did or how they handled a life event with true courage. How did it inspire you? How does it make you feel now? If you want to share your story, post it in comments below.
As always, thank you for reading. Stay inspired and don’t let the weekend go by without creating something!
