It’s time for your creative jumpstart. This week, let’s talk music.
Visual artists, photographers, writers, we need our music. Think about how much your creativity flows when listening to good vibes.
So what do I mean by drawing your music? Simple. Grab a pencil, pen or heck even a paintbrush and let’s get to work.
Music For Your Mind
Listening to music opens up your mind like nothing else can. Music is beneficial for a number of reasons.
Here are fifteen in case you’re interested.
For those of us looking to create some good art, music is good for more than just listening.
Choose something that gets your mind moving. Now pick up your pencil. Get ready.
What do you feel as the beats flow? Do you think of parallel lines? Simple shapes?
Maybe a happy little tree.
Draw what you feel and what comes to mind. Sometimes, I just let my hand go and draw crazy lines. I don’t lift the pencil from the paper. I just go.
The point of this exercise is to express what the music makes you feel.
What’s better, is what you draw helps you hone your creativity. Your mind creates connections that otherwise wouldn’t exist.
Your mind and your creativity are flowing. Not to mention some of the best ideas come from just doodling.
Slow it down with some classical or maybe some smooth jazz. I recommend Euge Groove.
Find the tunes that make your mind go. And let the creativity flow.
Thanks for reading. What vibes gets your creativity flowing?
