Another Dive Into the Sketchbook

One would think drawing mandalas and flowers would require large pieces of paper. I’ll admit I have a bunch of random sheets of different things in random places. This is much to the chagrin of my wife.

But most of the action happens in a sketchbook for me.

This is what happens when random thoughts make the page.

Ode to florals.

Is the black-and-white photo too dramatic?

I have yet to find a way to draw a larger piece, without drawing lots of smaller ones. Honing the craft requires small steps. Nothing is done in a day.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is a creative habit.

Or artistic skill. It takes time. Lots of time. But, there are lots of ways to spend (waste) your time. I’d rather be drawing.
