Why I Went Crazy With Zendoodle

Zendoodle

One of my creative goals for 2017 was to simply get more creative. Part of that plan, and you should always plan your creativity, is to post more artwork to my blog.

What’s an artist’s blog without art?

So the drawing above was really just a simple doodle that morphed into an array of colors, lines and crazy do-dads consisting of semi-symmetrical designs.

I strive to mix zendoodles with mandalas at times. This design is also the result of jamming out to some Dave Matthews Band while drawing. Do we say “jamming out” anymore?

A Successful Zendoodle?

I think no matter what you draw, you’re drawing from the heart. Others may like what you create, some won’t. That’s fine.

That’s art.

To me, this design is a successful zendoodle because I’m actually happy with it. Not to mention I received some  likes on Instagram too!

“Put your heart, mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.”

-Swami Sivananda

Doodling is simply fun. Creating what you feel is right and makes you happy is truly fulfilling.

That’s all for tonight. Get creative!

Thanks for reading!
